We manufacture our Scotch-Brite™ Roloc™ Clean and Strip XT Disc to be a long lasting disc designed to remove coatings, rust and weld discoloration. It combines coarse silicon carbide abrasive with durable, rigid, non-woven material. This unique disc can aggressively clean without significantly altering the base material.

Use Scotch-Brite™ Roloc™ Clean and Strip XT Disc for aggressive cleaning without damage to the base material. Our XT discs combine coarse silicon carbide abrasive with durable, rigid, non-woven material to aggressively clean, remove coatings, rust and weld discolouration – without significantly altering the base material. The coarse grade abrasive is heat resistant and fast cutting while the open-web construction resists loading, to provide consistent surface conditioning results. These discs come with the Roloc attachment system for fast easy disc change-outs – ideal for multi-step finishing processes. Silicon carbide is a synthetic mineral that’s very sharp and commonly used for low-pressure applications such as paint preparation. It breaks down faster than aluminium oxide, and produces a superior finish. Scotch-Brite abrasives are unique surface conditioning products with abrasives incorporated into a non-woven fibre matrix. Combining abrasives and non-woven material in this way creates an abrasive system that delivers consistent results for the life of the product. The open-web material runs cool and is load resistant, limiting fibre clogging and keeping the abrasive minerals cutting at high performance. The fast yet forgiving cut and consistent performance of Scotch-Brite abrasives conditions surfaces, without significantly altering the work piece, preventing undercutting and gouging. It’s easier to achieve a consistent finish, every time.
