Abrasive File Belts & Dynafile Belts
File belts are ideal abrasive products for grinding or polishing large work pieces that can't be handheld. BND Abrasives make and convert our file belts with extra care to prevent joints from snapping. We use a very unique machine that gives our material a special-flex right before it goes out the door, which allows lesser breakages and increased productivity!
Floor Sanding Belts
BND Abrasives has the largest selection of abrasives for floor sanding and refinishing, which allows flooring companies to have a variety of products appropriate for the floor they are working. We are the company that pioneered the flagship abrasives now available for the floor refinishing industry such as the Norton Red Heat (USA) and 3M Cubitron II Floor Sanding (UK). We also keep the full range of abrasives from Awuko (Germany) to fit virtually every floor sanding machine in the market.
Knife Grinding Belts
Excellent selection of knife grinding belts from BND Abrasives. We make, stock and supply belts in the most common sizes including but not limited to 1x30, 2x48, 2x72, 2x78 2x30, and plenty of other sizes. Most of our knife makers use a high-quality ceramic belt to bevel the knife with a P36 or P40 (we suggest the Awuko GU65Y Ceramic or 3M 784F Cubitron II). Use a P60 and P120 to clean the previous operations then use an Aluminium Oxide Belt or 3M Trizact (237AA or 337DC) for the polishing operations.
BND Abrasives cut and make wide sanding belts up to 1680mm wide in our UK Factory. Our dedicated staff ensures that joints are made with excellent care to prevent bumps on wide belt sanding applications. We keep an excellent range of belts on both paper and cloth.
3M Cubitron II Belts
A revolutionary precision shaped ceramic grain was created that continually fractures into super-sharp points and edges that slice cleanly through metal, rather than gouging or plowing as traditional abrasives do. This creates a super-fast cut and lessens heat build-up in the workpiece, reducing heat-related stress cracks and discoloration. Moreover, because the abrasive itself stays cooler and sharper, it lasts significantly longer than conventional ceramic grain belts, decreasing costs and reducing belt changeovers.
3M Trizact Belts
A wide range of 3M Trizact Polishing Belts, slit, made and converted in the UK by BND Abrasives!
3M™ Trizact™ Cloth Belt 237AA uses proprietary microreplication technology where micron-graded aluminum oxide particles are formed into tiny pyramids of abrasive mineral and then coated on an X weight cloth backing. As these pyramids wear, fresh, sharp mineral is continually exposed to produce a consistent cut and a predictable, fine finish.
Surface Conditioning Belts / Scotch-brite Belts
A non-woven belt used for cleaning, finishing, blending and deburring applications. The smooth, tough, stretch-resistant nylon film backing works well with platens or when reduced friction is required.
Portable Sander Belts
Mostly used in the Woodworking Industry, portable sanders are very famous for its versatility and ease of use. BND Abrasives keeps a wide range of industrial-grade belts for all your portable sander needs.
Horseshoe and Farrier Belts
BND Abrasives keep a great range of high stock-removal grinding belts for farriers. We have a massive stock of both Huvema and Baldor belts, but we can also make any other size of belts using our Belt Builder online tool. We suggest the 3M 784F Cubitron II which is our customers' favourite grinding belt which has self-sharpening abilities and aggressive metal removal properties.
Spirabands are easy to fit, give good access to curves and bends and are an excellent blending and de-burring tool. They are manufactured using premium quality abrasive grit on durable cloth backing and can be used on a full range of materials including metals, stainless steel, plastics and wood.
